The all-new Vivaro is available in three trim levels: Edition, Sportive and Elite. Dual side sliding door, driver/passenger airbags and cruise control with speed-limiter are all available as standard on Vivaro for the first time. Flying the flag for British manufacturing, the Vauxhall Vivaro combines the best of both worlds. The large load space offers plenty of room for your equipment and stock, with a car-like cabin that offers a comfortable experience for driver and passengers alike.
The 2.0 BlueHDi comes in 150 and 180 guises, which have 148bhp and 178bhp respectively, while the latter also features an 8-speed auto gearbox. Both versions have good torque delivery and are responsive, and they help the Vivaro to cope with heavier payloads than the last model.
New Vivaro L1H1 Sportive Panel Van. On the entry level 1.5D (100PS) engine, torque has been improved to 270Nm. Towing has also been improved with up to 2,500kg available. Additionally, the factory-fitted tow bar option comes standard with Trailer Stability Control (TSC). TSC uses an electronic stability programme to dampen the vibrations of the trailer as necessary. If severe vibrations are detected which indicates an unsafe and unstable driving condition, then the system will slow the vehicle to a critical pace.
The seats themselves are trimmed in easy-clean fabric, while all vans get a pair of passenger seats. However, if you are regularly travelling three-up, you might want to look elsewhere, because the Vivaro isn’t the most comfortable three-seat van on the market – the last version was more comfortable for three-abreast seating, with more shoulder room and a wider passenger seat base.
At the top of the range, the Limited is aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the self-employed. It adds luxuries such as alloy wheels, sat-nav, front and rear parking sensors, and Vauxhall’s suite of safety kit, including lane assist, adaptive cruise control and blind spot alert, among others.
